Our long history working on wind farm installations has given us unrivalled experience across the areas of civil engineering, diving and cable laying.

Over the years we have developed vast experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of offshore wind farms. This, together with our expertise in the submarine cables industry, makes us an ideal partner for offshore renewables projects.

Experience

Falmouth Divers has provided diving support for various contractors on the different sites and have carried out all manner of tasks from initial site surveys, construction and connection phase support and subsea export and inter-turbine cable lays. Our extensive offshore renewables experience dates back over 23 years from when we were contracted to work on the world’s first open sea WTG’s (Blyth UK), the world’s first full scale offshore wind farm (Horns Rev 1 Denmark) and the UK’s first full scale offshore wind farm (North Hoyle UK). We have remained working on offshore renewables ever since.

We have also acted as Turnkey principle contractor for complete installation of export cables including all land based civil engineering works, jointing and terminations, pre and post lay cable testing.

In addition, we have undertaken removal of debris and materials from WTG towers following commissioning, offshore crew transfers, installation of land cables, shore ducts and the construction of joint bays and manholes. Our experience also extends to recovery and disposal of redundant cables to help clients meet their whole life responsibility on decommissioning.
